EmbeddingCapability

Enum EmbeddingCapability

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum EmbeddingCapability { BatchInput, OutputDimensions, ImageInput, CompositeInput, InputType, }
Expand description

Portable embedding features a provider or model may support.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

BatchInput

Several inputs per request.

§

OutputDimensions

Requesting a specific output dimensionality.

§

ImageInput

Image parts (EmbeddingPart::Image).

§

CompositeInput

Several parts in one input, combined into one vector in a model-defined way. Every model that supports it accepts at least one text part plus one image part, in either order; anything beyond that (more images, several texts) is model-specific and fails with Error::InvalidRequest when the model does not allow it.

§

InputType

The query/document input_type hint, sent on the provider’s native field (ADR 0003). A symmetric model, which embeds queries and documents alike, honors it by sending nothing: Supported, with no warning under any policy.

Implementations§

Source§

impl EmbeddingCapability

Source

pub fn as_str(self) -> &'static str

The stable snake_case name, as serialized.

Display writes it and FromStr (str::parse) reads it back.

Source§

impl EmbeddingCapability

Source

pub const ALL: &[Self]

Every capability, in declaration order.
