Describes the lifecycle of a resource within a stack, determining how it’s managed and deployed.

Variants

Frozen

Frozen resources are owned by setup. Setup creates, updates, and deletes them. Alien may heartbeat them and may run explicit management operations when setup granted management permissions.

Live

Live resources are owned by Alien. Alien creates, updates, deletes, and replaces them after setup, so Live resources require provision permissions.
