Force field type

Variants§

§

Directional

Constant directional force (e.g., wind)

Fields

§direction: Vec3Fix

Force direction (normalized)

§strength: Fix128

Force magnitude

§

Point

Point attractor/repulsor (gravity well)

Fields

§center: Vec3Fix

Attractor center position

§strength: Fix128

Attraction strength

§repulsive: bool

If true, force pushes away from center (explosion)

§max_force: Fix128

Maximum force (prevents singularity near center)

§

Drag

Linear drag (velocity-proportional resistance)

Fields

§coefficient: Fix128

Drag coefficient

§

Buoyancy

Buoyancy (upward force below a surface level)

Fields

§surface_y: Fix128

Water surface Y coordinate

§density: Fix128

Fluid density

§drag: Fix128

Fluid drag coefficient

§

Vortex

Vortex (rotational force around an axis)

Fields

§center: Vec3Fix

Vortex center position

§axis: Vec3Fix

Vortex rotation axis

§strength: Fix128

Rotational strength

§falloff_radius: Fix128

Radius beyond which force falls off

§

Explosion

Explosion (radial impulse with distance falloff)

Force: strength * (1 - dist/radius)^falloff_power directed away from center. Zero force beyond radius.

Fields

§center: Vec3Fix

Explosion center position

§strength: Fix128

Peak force strength at center

§radius: Fix128

Maximum blast radius (zero force beyond this distance)

§falloff_power: Fix128

Falloff exponent (1 = linear, 2 = quadratic, etc.)

§

Magnetic

Magnetic dipole field approximation

Simplified dipole model: F = -strength / r^3 * (r_hat . m_hat) * m_hat, with r_hat pointing from position to the body. The force lies along the dipole axis (moment); for a positive strength a body on the axis is pulled toward the dipole from either side, and the force vanishes in the equatorial plane. Only the direction of moment is used.

Fields

§position: Vec3Fix

Dipole position in world space

§moment: Vec3Fix

Dipole moment direction (normalized direction of the magnetic field)

§strength: Fix128

Overall field strength multiplier
