AttemptHandle

Struct AttemptHandle

Source
pub struct AttemptHandle(/* private fields */);
Expand description

Cloneable record-only capability shared by every native fragment of one invocation. It cannot terminalize the attempt.

Implementations§

Source§

impl AttemptHandle

Source

pub fn attempt_id(&self) -> AttemptId

The engine-minted identity of this invocation.

Source

pub fn cancellation(&self) -> AttemptCancellation

The attempt-scoped cooperative cancellation signal and deadline.

Source

pub fn is_terminal(&self) -> bool

Returns whether the attempt outcome is already terminal.

Source

pub fn disposition(&self) -> Option<AttemptDisposition>

The current disposition, when planning or execution has classified it.

Source

pub fn record_planning_started(&self) -> Result<(), AttemptLifecycleError>

Source

pub fn record_planning_finished(&self) -> Result<(), AttemptLifecycleError>

Source

pub fn set_disposition( &self, disposition: AttemptDisposition, ) -> Result<(), AttemptLifecycleError>

Source

pub fn record_composed_schedule_projection( &self, projection: AttemptComposedScheduleProjection, ) -> Result<(), AttemptLifecycleError>

Publishes the engine-owned composed schedule into this attempt’s immutable report. The lifecycle verifies the projection’s attempt placement against the already-recorded admission fact; callers cannot replace the schedule after finalization.

Source

pub fn record_physical_execution_started( &self, ) -> Result<(), AttemptLifecycleError>

Source

pub fn record_gpu_execution_started(&self) -> Result<(), AttemptLifecycleError>

Source

pub fn record_native_failure(&self, error: &QueryError)

Retains the safe, closed projection of a borrowed native error without granting terminalization or sealing authority.

The record-only capability is used by adapter paths whose admitted handle may begin cleanup before the outer DataFusion wrapper returns the original error to the attempt owner. The full error remains on that returned path; this records only its bounded stable summary.
