#[non_exhaustive]pub enum ErrorKind {
InvalidInput,
NotFound,
Unsupported,
ExecutionContext,
ResourceExhausted,
DependencyFailure,
InvariantViolation,
}Expand description
Coarse failure category, derived from ErrorCode via kind_for_code.
ErrorKind exists for caller policy that needs only the broad category.
Error does not store it; each call projects it from code.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
InvalidInput
The caller provided invalid values, schema requests, or foreign inputs.
NotFound
A named resource referenced by the caller does not exist.
Unsupported
The requested dtype, layout, or operation is not supported.
ExecutionContext
A runtime, readiness, provenance, or execution binding contract failed.
ResourceExhausted
The operation ran out of memory or another bounded resource.
DependencyFailure
A lower-layer CUDA, I/O, or foreign dependency failed.
InvariantViolation
An invariant was violated (domestic or foreign).
