Expand description

A single, machine-readable uncertainty signal.

Each variant carries only the data required to understand and act on it. CLI commands collect these into an UncertaintyReport.

Variants§

§

AmbiguousTerm

A query token matches an excessive number of unrelated files. Action: add a more specific co-occurring domain term. Source: query

Fields

§term: String
§file_count: Option<usize>

Number of distinct files containing this token (if known).

§

GenericQuery

The query consists entirely of generic/stopword-like tokens with no domain anchor. Results are likely noisy. Source: query

Fields

§tokens: Vec<String>
§

LowResultCount

Fewer results than expected for a multi-term query. Index may be incomplete for this area, or the query is too specific. Source: result_set

Fields

§count: usize
§

MissingLayer

The query implies a layer that is absent from the result set. Source: result_set

Fields

§expected_layer: String
§hint: String

Short human-readable hint about what to check.

§

SparseIndex

Very few results and no ambiguous terms — the index may not cover this domain yet. Source: result_set

§

DbStateUnannotated

The workspace has no annotation data — results are based on structural/FTS signals only, so confidence is inherently reduced. Source: db_state

Fields

§state: String

The specific state code, e.g. “unannotated”, “clean_room”.

Implementations§

Source§

impl UncertaintyReason

Source

pub fn weight(&self) -> f64

Score contribution: how much uncertainty this reason adds (0.0–1.0 range).

Source

pub fn source(&self) -> &'static str

Which high-level source category does this reason belong to?

Returns one of: "query" | "db_state" | "result_set"
