Written over ALL rather than as a second match, so the two directions cannot disagree. A hand-written match here would be one rule with two implementations, and the boundary nobody probes is a variant added later: as_str gets the new arm because the compiler insists, and the parser silently starts refusing a status the rest of the system emits.

Unknown text is None rather than a default. A status filter that silently became Open on a typo would answer what is escalated with a list of healthy cases, which reads as an empty backlog.
