The reason a model turn ended.

The loop inspects the FinishReason to decide whether to execute tool calls, request more input, or report an error.

Variants

Completed

The model finished generating its response normally.

ToolCall

The model stopped to invoke one or more tools.

MaxTokens

The response was truncated because the token limit was reached.

Cancelled

The turn was cancelled via TurnCancellation.

Blocked

The provider blocked the response (e.g. content policy violation).

Error

An error occurred during generation.

Other(String)

A provider-specific reason not covered by the standard variants.
