Expand description

A duration estimate with uncertainty using the PERT model.

Fields§

§id: TemporalId

Unique identifier.

§label: String

What this duration is for.

§optimistic_secs: i64

Optimistic estimate (best case) in seconds.

§expected_secs: i64

Most likely estimate in seconds.

§pessimistic_secs: i64

Pessimistic estimate (worst case) in seconds.

§confidence: f64

Confidence level (0.0 - 1.0).

§source: DurationSource

Source of this estimate.

§created_at: DateTime<Utc>

When this estimate was created.

§tags: Vec<String>

Tags for categorization.

Implementations§

Source§

impl DurationEstimate

Source

pub fn new( label: impl Into<String>, optimistic: i64, expected: i64, pessimistic: i64, ) -> Self

Create a new duration estimate.

Source

pub fn pert_estimate(&self) -> ChronoDuration

Calculate PERT estimate: (O + 4M + P) / 6

Source

pub fn std_deviation(&self) -> ChronoDuration

Calculate standard deviation: (P - O) / 6

Source

pub fn optimistic(&self) -> ChronoDuration

Get optimistic duration.

Source

pub fn expected(&self) -> ChronoDuration

Get expected duration.

Source

pub fn pessimistic(&self) -> ChronoDuration

Get pessimistic duration.
