BackgroundToolCall

Struct BackgroundToolCall

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct BackgroundToolCall { pub tool_call_id: ToolCallId, pub meta: Option<Map<String, Value>>, }
Available on crate feature unstable_protocol_v2 only.
Expand description

A listed tool call whose work continues in the background.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§tool_call_id: ToolCallId

The ID of the listed tool call.

§meta: Option<Map<String, Value>>

The _meta property is reserved by ACP to allow clients and agents to attach additional metadata to their interactions. Omitted and null are equivalent and mean no metadata. Implementations MUST NOT assign meaning to keys they do not recognize.

See protocol docs: Extensibility

Implementations§

Source§

impl BackgroundToolCall

Source

pub fn new(tool_call_id: impl Into<ToolCallId>) -> BackgroundToolCall

Builds BackgroundToolCall with the required fields set. Optional fields start unset or empty.

Source

pub fn meta( self, meta: impl IntoOption<Map<String, Value>>, ) -> BackgroundToolCall

The _meta property is reserved by ACP to allow clients and agents to attach additional metadata to their interactions. Implementations MUST NOT assign meaning to keys they do not recognize.

See protocol docs: Extensibility
