Caps

Struct Caps

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct Caps { pub session: SessionSupport, pub fork: bool, pub events: bool, pub native_system: bool, pub schema: SchemaSupport, pub commands: bool, }
Expand description

What an agent supports. Used to reject an impossible request before spawning rather than silently doing something weaker than asked.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§session: SessionSupport

How a native session id is obtained, if at all.

§fork: bool

Whether resuming can branch a new session instead of appending in place.

§events: bool

Whether the agent emits a structured event stream this crate normalizes.

§native_system: bool

Whether the agent takes a real system-prompt flag. When false the system text is prepended to the prompt so it still reaches the model.

§schema: SchemaSupport

How the agent accepts a JSON Schema for its answer, if at all.

§commands: bool

Whether the agent answers slash commands such as /compact.

Claude publishes a catalogue and acts on them; the others read the same text as prose and would discuss the command rather than run it, which is worse than refusing.
