Variants

Stable

A stable efuse MAC, left untouched.

Pinned

A randomizer we have pinned; the value lands on the next boot.

Candidate

The cross-boot learner suspects randomization but is not certain; the operator confirms before a pin is written.

Deferred

A randomizer we cannot pin yet (e.g. no machine-id, no systemd-udev link mechanism).

Disabled

Pinning is disabled by config.
