model: String

The model identifier to use for generation.

contents: Vec<Content>

The conversation contents (system, user, model messages).

config: Option<GenerateContentConfig>

Optional generation configuration (temperature, tokens, etc.).

tools: HashMap<String, Value>

Tool declarations keyed by tool name.

previous_response_id: Option<String>

Provider-neutral identifier of the previous response to continue from. The agent populates this from the most recent event’s interaction_id. Maps to previous_interaction_id for the Gemini Interactions transport; ignored by transports that do not support response chaining.
