Why a revocation-discovery outcome is unknown (RFC-ACDP-0014 §8, 0.5.0). unknown is never folded into not-revoked.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Truncated

A search or lineage walk was cut short by a page, walk, or budget cap (§8 “Truncation is not completeness”).

Unanswerable

The vantage cannot answer: not_authorized (e.g. anonymous_public_reads: false), not_implemented, or a malformed discovery response.

Transient

A lookup failed transiently (DID host, registry, transport, or the discovery deadline).

UnverifiableCandidate

A candidate could be neither verified nor proven invalid (the §5 step 1 historical arm had no usable receipt).
