Metadata for a single file in a snapshot.

Fields

path: PathBuf

Relative path from rootfs root

size: u64

File size in bytes

mtime: i64

Modification time (seconds since epoch)

mode: u32

Unix permission/mode bits. A chmod (e.g. RUN chmod +x) changes only this — not size or mtime — so it must be part of the change check or the new mode is silently dropped from the layer.

uid: u32

Unix owner user ID. A chown can change only ownership, so uid/gid must be tracked or the generated layer silently drops the change.

gid: u32

Unix owner group ID.

is_dir: bool

Whether this is a directory
