Variants§

§

A2A(A2AError)

§

Http(Error)

§

Json(Error)

§

InvalidInput(String)

§

ReadFile

Fields

§path: String
§source: Error
§

Timeout

Fields

§task_id: String
§timeout: Duration
§

CardFile

A local Agent Card file that couldn’t be read — the file-path counterpart of a non-2xx card fetch.

Fields

§path: String
§source: Error
§

CardInvalid(String)

A local Agent Card file that was read but isn’t an Agent Card — the counterpart of a response body that won’t deserialize.

§

CardSchemaInvalid

card get --validate: the card deserialized fine (so CardInvalid does not apply) but fails the A2A JSON schema (§10.1) — distinct from a type-check failure, and carrying every violation rather than only the first.

Fields

§violations: Vec<Violation>
§

Usage(String)

A malformed invocation, as clap describes it. §11.4 counts a malformed flag among the CLI-local failures that must still be machine-readable, so clap’s prose becomes the envelope’s message rather than being printed in its place.

Implementations§

Source§

impl CliError

Source

pub fn exit_code(&self) -> i32

The exit status this failure maps to (§11.6, Appendix D). 0 is never returned here — success never constructs a CliError.

Source

pub fn report(&self)

Print the Appendix B error envelope to stderr as one compact JSON line, in every output mode: §11.4 requires errors to be machine-readable unconditionally, not only under -o json.
