pub struct RuntimeConfig {
pub image: Option<String>,
}Expand description
How the platform packages this agent when it runs it as a managed unit
([runtime]).
Only meaningful to a runtime that can honour it — ContainerRuntime today.
a2a run reads the config in-process and has no image to pull, so it says so
and runs the built-in handler instead.
Fields§
§image: Option<String>Container image running this agent, instead of the platform’s base image.
This is what keeps the declarative layer from being closed: an agent that
needs a handler no TOML can express ships as its own image, and the
platform goes back to caring only about the config, the port and the
container. The image is passed to the engine verbatim, so any reference
it accepts works (ghcr.io/acme/billing:1.4, a digest, a local tag).
The image gets the same contract as the base one: its config bind-mounted
read-only and named by A2A_CONFIG, HOST=0.0.0.0, its http_port
published, and the config’s ${VAR} references passed through. Unlike
the base image it is started with no command override, so its own
ENTRYPOINT/CMD decides how to boot.
