Write Once Run Anywhere (WORA)
A framework for building applications (daemons, etc.) that run in different environments (Linux, Kubernetes, etc.).
Just like Java’s claim, it really doesn’t run everywhere. no_std or embedded environments are not supported.

- exec
- exec_
env - exec_
unix - lock
- o11y
- prelude
- profiles
- Ready-to-run configurations for common small applications.
- resources
- Count admission for runner-owned work. These limits do not measure heap/RSS.

File - Typed configuration file payload.
- Config
Reload - Typed configuration reload payload.
- NoConfig
- Empty configuration implementation for apps that do not use config files.
- NoSecrets
- Empty secret implementation for apps that do not use secrets.
- Runner
Options - Options used by the async runner.
- Runtime
Status Handle - Cloneable handle used by apps and background tasks to report health and readiness.
- Secret
File - Typed secret file payload.
- Secret
Reload - Typed secret reload payload.
- Wora
- Runtime context passed to applications.
Enums§
- Event
Loop Action - Control flow returned by
Wora::run_event_loop. - Health
State - Health state reported by an application.
- Leadership
- Current leadership role for a workload.
- Readiness
State - Readiness state reported by an application.
- Reload
Handling - Result from applying a typed runtime reload helper.
- TaskOp
- Result from a scheduled background task.
Traits§
- App
- Application lifecycle implemented by WORA workloads.
- Config
- Application configuration parser.
- Secrets
- Secret parser used for initial secret load and runtime reload handling.
Functions§
- exec_
async_ runner - Run apps via an
asyncbased executor with defaultRunnerOptions. - exec_
async_ runner_ with_ options - Run apps with an owned observability pipeline and explicit runner options.
