Bounded media inspection shared by native transport and official profiles. Source bytes, including application trailers, are never rewritten here. WXGF inspection decodes a representative still only. Its animation timing, frame count and alpha semantics remain unknown; the original stays WXGF.

Functions

inspect_image

Inspect the retained source. For WXGF, dimensions describe its still preview; frames does not establish the source’s animation frame count.

inspect_video_container

Check the top-level movie boxes before invoking the MOV-family demuxer. Older QuickTime movies may omit ftyp; both layouts still need owned movie metadata and media bytes. This only checks container structure; callers must separately decode and validate streams before sending.

wxgf_preview

Decode one representative JPEG without changing the WXGF source. This is a still preview, not a reconstruction of source animation timing or alpha.
