Module mapinfo 

MapInfo Interchange Format (MIF/MID) reader and writer.

This driver supports practical MIF/MID interoperability for:

• Point, Line, Pline, Region, Multipoint, and None geometries
• Attribute schemas via Columns + .mid rows
• Common field types: Integer, Float, Text, Boolean, Date, DateTime

Notes:

• MIF/MID stores geometry in .mif and attributes in partner .mid.
• CRS support is intentionally lightweight in this phase: CoordSys Earth Projection 1 is interpreted as EPSG:4326.

Read a MIF/MID dataset into a Layer.

Serialize a Layer to MIF + MID strings.

Write a Layer as a MIF/MID dataset.
