validate_authenticator_pubkey

Function validate_authenticator_pubkey

Source
pub fn validate_authenticator_pubkey(
    authenticator_pubkey: &str,
) -> Result<String, WalletKitError>
Expand description

Validates an authenticator public key without submitting an account operation, returning its canonical encoding.

This is a free function (not a method on Authenticator) so consumers can validate a key — e.g. one scanned during pairing — before an Authenticator exists.

The returned string is the canonical form of the key (lowercase, 0x-prefixed, zero-padded 32-byte hex), byte-identical to the entries returned by Authenticator::get_authenticator_pubkeys. Use it — not the raw input — for string comparisons against key-set entries.

§Arguments

  • authenticator_pubkey — a compressed BabyJubJub public key encoded as a 0x-prefixed, zero-padded 32-byte hex string.

§Errors

Returns WalletKitError::InvalidInput if the public key is invalid, is not in canonical form, or is the BabyJubJub identity point.
