Complete records from the end of a canonical event log, in persisted order.

read_event_tail

Read at most max_bytes from a session without creating files, taking a writer handle, changing metadata, or loading history into agent context. Missing logs return None for compatibility with legacy archives. The workspace must be an absolute, resolved root; symlink paths are rejected. Platforms without handle-bound reads return an Unsupported I/O error.
