Crate vix_editor 

The editor host crate: the CodeEditor widget wrapper (editor) and the split-pane layout tree (pane_tree). The two are mutually recursive — the editor owns a pane_tree::Pane and the pane tree references the editor’s SplitDir — so they live together in one crate.

Modules

editor

Tabbed editor: a stack of buffers, each backed by an editor_core widget (Tree-sitter syntax highlighting, history, selection, clipboard).

pane_tree

A binary tree of editor panes, for arbitrary split layouts (including a 2x2 grid). Each leaf shows a tab; each internal node splits its area in two by a direction and ratio. Pure geometry + tree surgery so it is unit-testable; the host (crate::editor) owns which leaf is focused and the editor widgets.
