Module domains

Source
Expand description

Domain declaration validation, inherited defaults, and constraint binding.

Modules§

constraints
Durable names and individual catalog identities for domain constraints.
dependencies
Declared column types affected by a domain constraint change.
removal
DROP DOMAIN, DROP TYPE and ALTER TYPE name binding, namespace privileges, owner and required-type diagnostics.

Functions§

prepare_added_check
Name and bind only a newly added CHECK. Existing defaults and constraints already carry their catalog identities and must not be analyzed again in the ALTER statement’s namespace.
prepare_added_not_null
Name a new NOT NULL constraint after the executor has resolved and locked its domain. An existing NOT NULL constraint is retained unchanged, as ALTER DOMAIN does even when the requested name differs.
prepare_domain_definition
restore_composite_constructors
Bind only predecessor composite constructors; retain every other stored default, constraint and catalog identity.
