Module notifications

Source
Expand description

Bounded notification protocol values and incremental decoding. Transport establishment, listener authority and reconnection remain separate owners; decoding a ready frame does not establish those server-side facts.

Structs§

DecodeStep
At most one observation is returned. The caller retains and resubmits the unconsumed suffix of its HTTP chunk; no chunk-sized copy or event queue is hidden in the decoder.
HttpNotificationError
A retained failure with content-free Display/Debug. Private transport and server diagnostics are available only through explicit accessors.
HttpNotificationOptions
Required caller budgets. No capacity or deployment timeout is inferred from SQL settings.
HttpNotificationSubscription
A bounded independently read HTTP subscription. Closing joins its one worker; dropping signals cancellation and aborts that same task. Received events never execute SQL.
NotificationCancellation
A monotonic, async-waking cancellation signal for an HTTP subscription’s whole lifetime. It is independent of SQL and cannot be reset or used to restore cancelled authority.
NotificationDecoder
A single response epoch. This validates the wire contract; HTTP security, actual server readiness, clocks and reconnection belong to the transport adapter.
NotificationReady
NotificationRetryOptions
NotificationTiming
ServerFailure
A syntactically bounded remote failure. Unknown codes remain available explicitly but never appear in diagnostic formatting or acquire automatic retry authority.
SubscriptionRequest
Immutable exact channel set, stored in bytewise order for bounded membership checks. Request order has no notification-order semantics.
TimerLimits
Supplied by the receiving runtime and its configured deadline policy; the wire protocol invents no timer default.

Enums§

NotificationTimeoutStage
NotificationWireEvent
ProtocolError
Content-free protocol failures. Rejected input and JSON diagnostic strings are never retained.

Constants§

MAX_NOTIFICATION_WIRE_BYTES
Complete request body and complete SSE frame limit, including event fields and delimiters.
