Identity and verification for agentic systems (coming soon)
§Persistent Identity in Fluid Systems
Consider Theseus’s Paradox: if a ship’s parts are gradually replaced, is it still the same ship? In multi-agent systems, we face a similar challenge. Agents may update their code, migrate between nodes, or even reconstruct themselves from partial states. When an agent claims to be “AgentX,” how do we verify this claim?
This crate aims to maintain verifiable identity across:
- Model changes (GPT → Claude → Llama)
- Node migrations and scaling
- Implementation updates
- Distributed execution
In distributed systems, identity isn’t just about names - it’s about maintaining trusted relationships through inevitable change.
