pub struct AppendRequest<S> { /* private fields */ }Expand description
One Arrow source plus physical settings for a single append.
Pass the source directly to TimeSeriesTable::append to use Zstandard
compression and row groups bounded by 1,048,576 rows and 128 MiB estimated
encoded bytes. Wrap it in AppendRequest only when one append needs an
explicit physical override. A nested request inherits each setting from its
source unless the outer request replaces it.
Implementations§
Source§impl<S> AppendRequest<S>
impl<S> AppendRequest<S>
Sourcepub fn new(source: S) -> Self
pub fn new(source: S) -> Self
Create a request without adding physical writer overrides.
If source already carries overrides, this request inherits each one
until the corresponding builder method replaces it.
Sourcepub fn compression(self, compression: ParquetCompression) -> Self
pub fn compression(self, compression: ParquetCompression) -> Self
Set Parquet compression for this append.
Sourcepub fn max_rows_per_row_group(self, max_rows_per_row_group: usize) -> Self
pub fn max_rows_per_row_group(self, max_rows_per_row_group: usize) -> Self
Limit output Parquet row groups to this many rows for this append.
This controls rows, not bytes, input batches, or source-file row-group
boundaries, and replaces any limit already carried by the source. Zero
is rejected by TimeSeriesTable::append before the source is inspected
or consumed.
Sourcepub fn max_bytes_per_row_group(self, max_bytes_per_row_group: usize) -> Self
pub fn max_bytes_per_row_group(self, max_bytes_per_row_group: usize) -> Self
Limit output Parquet row groups to this many estimated encoded bytes.
This is not a strict process-memory ceiling, and a single oversized value
may exceed it. Zero is rejected by TimeSeriesTable::append before the
source is inspected or consumed.
