The terminal a session talks through.

Terminal lets tests and custom transports drive a session over in-memory pipes; Tty is the process’s own stdin/stdout in raw mode (poll(2) on Unix, a console wait on Windows). Tty and tty detection are available only on Unix and Windows; Terminal is portable.
