Module coverage_query

Module coverage_query

Source
Expand description

Language-neutral coverage query operators.

Querying is deliberately separated from the CLI and storage container. This module accepts the frozen analyzed view and owns structural query semantics shared by every language frontend.

Structs§

CoverageAnchor
CoverageArea
Coverage of one directory: what its files have to cover, how much of it is covered, and how much of it each kind of test covers.

CoverageDecisionTotals
CoverageDiagnostic
CoverageDiffData
CoverageDiffDelta
CoverageDiffInputs
What two runs of a comparison had in common. With the same source, a difference between them is not a change in the code: two e2e runs of one commit read “lost: 11 lines, 31 branches” with nothing to say so.

MinimumTestSetResult
ScopeCounts
ScopeDirectory
ScopeGroup
One row of the scope overview: the files of one place that share a status and the reason for it.
TestAttributionCounts
Tests by how completely their coverage is their own.
TestWithoutEvidence
A test that made assertions and has no line, hit or decision to its name.
TestsWithoutEvidenceData
TestsWithoutEvidenceOptions
UnclassifiedSource
The unclassified files of a run by where they are, and the source roots to name if they are the project’s own code: the roots discovery found plus each of those places.

Functions§

coverage_areas_query
Coverage by directory, split by test kind. “Where is the coverage” was the first question after a full run, and answering it took an LCOV export and a script: listings named files only and carried no totals.

dimension_for_metric
One metric of a file’s or a directory’s counts; all reads as lines.
minimum_test_set
scope_groups
Every scope entry, grouped. 845 entries took five pages to read and an awk to see that 79 of 89 unclassified files were one directory.
tests_without_evidence_query
Every test the run’s summary counts under “made assertions, but Supercov received no source-coverage evidence”. The summary names one of them; 63 tests behind one example could not be followed up.
