Scoring and winners for stuffr bench. Pure: no I/O, no timing.
Each metric (bytes_out, compress_ns, decompress_ns) is scored
best / value over the rows that succeeded, a value of 0 counting as 1.
balance is the mean of the three scores. Failed rows score None and
never win. Ties go to the smaller bytes_out, then to the earlier row.
Structs§
- Measured
- What one successful format/level run produced.
- Memory
- Peak resident memory of one row, from the untimed memory runs. A number is
Nonewhen its run failed;errorthen says why (a refusal by--memory-limitreads differently from a crash). - Row
- One line of the table.
levelisNonefor codecs without levels (lz4, snappy).backendis"c"or"pure": which implementation of the format this build ran (levels::backend_of). - Winners
- Indices into the rows slice, one per column;
Nonewhen no row succeeded.
Enums§
- Outcome
- The result of one row: measured, or failed with a reason.
Functions§
- balance_
scores - The balance score of every row: the mean of the three per-metric scores,
Nonefor a failed row. - winners
- The winner of each column. Ties go to the smaller
bytes_out, then to the earlier row.least_memoryconsiders only rows with both numbers.
