Expand description

One serde struct per EventKind: the single authority for what a kind’s payload is called and what it holds.

Writers reach a payload through Payload::of and readers through Payload::read. Those two doors plus these structs replace the hand-written insert("key") at the writer and get("key") at each reader, which is how one key came to be spelled two ways in two crates.

Three rules hold for every struct here, because a ledger already written cannot be re-spelled:

  1. The bytes do not move. Field names are the keys the previous hand-written writer used, an absent key is spelled #[serde(skip_serializing_if = ...)] exactly where the previous writer omitted it, and a key that writer emitted unconditionally stays unconditional even when it is empty. Keys sort on the way out (serde_json’s Map is a BTreeMap), so declaration order here changes nothing.
  2. Reading is tolerant, writing is not. Every field a record written by an older build may lack carries #[serde(default)], because the fixtures hold a run_started whose payload is {}. Unknown keys are ignored rather than refused, so a newer writer never breaks an older reader.
  3. Values keep their kernel types. A run is a RunId and not a String, so the display form and the parse live where they already lived. Types with a hand-written Serialize carry schemars(with = "String"), which states on the schema what their wire form has always been.

A kind whose struct is not here yet is still read by hand at its call sites; the migration moves one family at a time, and each family’s closing condition is that a replay produces identical bytes.

Modules§

autonomy_word
The word the ledger writes for who answers a scope’s Approval Inbox, and its reader.

Structs§

AdviserAnswered
adviser_answered: what the adviser said, and how long it took.
AdviserAsked
adviser_asked: which question was put, and about what.
AdviserFellBack
adviser_fell_back: the deterministic strategy answered, and why.
ApprovalResolved
approval_resolved: how one inbox item was answered.
AssetArchived
asset_archived: one entry a run filed in its building’s archive.
AttachedTuning
How the person set an endpoint up, as the line keeps it.
AutonomyChanged
autonomy_changed: who answers the Approval Inbox for a scope from now on.
BuildingConfigured
building_configured: which faces of a building’s own layer one reconfiguration wrote. The values themselves stay in the files.
BuildingCreated
building_created: a building now stands at addr, laid out from template, or found already standing when adopted.
CancelReceived
cancel_received: the turn saw the stop. The run it belongs to is the envelope’s, so the payload holds nothing.
CityHalted
city_halted: one scope stopped taking work, or started again.
CityInitialized
city_initialized: the first line of every history. The city’s name is the record’s own addr, so the payload holds nothing.
Commit
The commit a checkpoint raised, and what it staged.
CommitAttribution
Which session made a commit, as the ledger states it.
DevicePaired
device_paired: a device presented a good code and the city keeps it.
DeviceRevoked
device_revoked: the person took a device’s pairing away.
DiscardRestored
discard_restored: the paths a restoration put back.
DocumentWritten
document_written: one save of one document landed.
EmbeddingCalled
embedding_called: one call to an attached endpoint’s embeddings face.
EndpointAttached
endpoint_attached: a base URL, its dialect, the credential’s vault place and the model ids the endpoint reported.
EndpointLost
endpoint_lost: the endpoint under this name is gone, and every choice made through it goes with it.
EndpointProbed
endpoint_probed: a base URL was asked what it serves, and nothing was attached.
EvalRun
eval_run: the handoff probe asked of a successor, compared with what its predecessor answered.
EvidenceCite
One line a finished run cites as the evidence it finished.
FileDiscarded
file_discarded: the paths one sweep found deleted, and the way back.
FileRestored
file_restored: path in the tree name now holds what point holds there, or nothing when point holds no such file. An empty name is the city’s own working tree, which a person takes a file back into from a page (crates/wire/Spec.lean §8-62).
GateChecked
gate_checked: a gate let an action through.
GoalConflict
goal_conflict: a goal that asked for ground another goal holds, and how far up the settling had to go.
GovernedDocumentWritten
governed_document_written: which of the three documents a person wrote, and how long it now is.
HandoffWritten
handoff_written: the five sections a successor starts from.
HarnessAnswered
harness_answered: the harness’s answer to the city’s prompt.
HarnessPermit
One option a harness offered when it asked for a permission.
LogTruncated
log_truncated: how many bytes a crash left behind that the opening procedure could not read as records.
ModelCalled
model_called: which prefix went out, under which model name.
ModelFacts
What a model list said about one model.
ModelReturned
model_returned: the reply, the size of the wave it asked for, and what the provider said it cost.
ModelSelected
model_selected: this model answers for this tag, with the facts no probe returns.
PolicyChanged
policy_created and policy_revoked: a standing rule named id came into force or left it.
ProbeFailure
The refusal a probe met, as its stable code and subject.
PromptAssembled
prompt_assembled: the four segments a request was built from, and the cache breakpoints it carried.
PromptSegment
One frozen segment, as prompt_assembled states it.
PromptShapeCompared
prompt_shape_compared: one request’s cache shape where a prompt cache looks at it, and which of its regions moved since the request before it in the same run.
PromptSkip
One document a slot was offered and left out, and why.
PromptSource
One document a segment was assembled from.
ProposalDecided
proposal_decided: a person’s verdicts on one card. A changed sentence the verdicts do not name is rejected, so an empty list rejects the whole card.
ProposalOffered
proposal_offered: a run suggests replacing one stretch of one version with other text.
ProposalWithdrawn
proposal_withdrawn: the run that offered a card took it back while it was still open.
PursuitChanged
pursuit_changed: one step a person took on a building’s pursuit, and the goal the building holds after it.
RemoteClosed
remote_closed: the door closed, and why.
RemoteOpened
remote_opened: the door is open until closes_at, reached at url.
RemoteSessionStarted
remote_session_started: a paired device proved its key and holds a session until expires, which is never later than the door closes.
RerankCalled
rerank_called: one call to an attached endpoint’s rerank face.
RoadmapMoved
roadmap_claimed, roadmap_split, roadmap_finished, roadmap_released and roadmap_blocked: who moved which node, and the step. The five lines share by, node and verb and differ only in what follows the verb, so one struct holds them and the verb selects the step.
RulesChanged
rules_changed: a document a dispatch stands under holds other bytes than the last line booked for it.
RunForked
run_forked: which run this one continues, and from where in it.
RunFrozen
run_frozen: how a run ended, and what it cites for having ended that way.
RunStarted
run_started: the work a run was given, and where it came from.
SecretCaptured
secret_captured: a credential entered the vault at this place.
SessionOpened
session_opened: a new session began at this address.
ShapePart
One part of a request’s cache shape, as a record states it: how many bytes the part carries, and their hash.
SignalConsumed
signal_consumed: which signal was taken, and by whom. The content is already in the enqueue line, and history does not need it twice.
SignalEnqueued
signal_enqueued: the signal itself, and the line it waits in.
SignalId
A signal’s identity, and the thing duplicates are recognised by.
SkillPin
One skill a run was dispatched with, pinned to the bytes it read.
SliceVerdict
A person’s verdict on one sentence of a card, by its place on the card counted from zero.
SpineDocumentWritten
spine_document_written: which of a building’s own spine documents a person wrote, and how long it now is.
SteerReceived
steer_received: text a person added at a phase boundary, and where it came from.
ToolCalled
tool_called: the call the model asked for, before anything ran.
ToolResult
tool_result: what the call returned, under the id it answers.
ToolkitLinkOpened
toolkit_link_opened: the person asked to connect this app.
VaultFellBack
The vault’s fallback, as the startup probe writes it.
WatchdogFired
watchdog_fired: what the watchdog did, and how often it has had to.
WentBack
went_back: the tree name was opened with its branch at point.
WorktreeOpened
worktree_opened: the tree a resident was given to work a claimed node in, by name and measured size. It carries no path: an absolute path is a fact about one machine, and a history that holds one does not survive being moved to another.

Enums§

Admittance
Whether a scope is shut or open.
AdviserAnswer
How the adviser answered.
AdviserAsk
The three questions the adviser port takes. Closed: the answer types below pair with these variant for variant, so a reader can never pair an answer with a question that was not asked.
AdviserFailure
Why no adviser answer reached the window. Closed: a fallback this vocabulary cannot name is a fallback nobody can count.
CacheRenewed
cache_renewed: one renewal a worker sent, answered or refused.
CheckpointCommitted
checkpoint_committed carries two facts that are not the same fact, and this enum states which one a line holds instead of leaving a reader to infer it from which keys are absent.
ConflictLevel
Which level settles a goal_conflict: serialize runs the goal after the one it met, arbitrate hands both statements to a resident.
FiredAction
What the watchdog did, in the word the line carries.
FreezeCause
Why a run was frozen by something other than its own driver.
GoverningDocument
The two documents a scope is judged by, spelled on the wire as the file names they live under.
HarnessPermitKind
What choosing a permission option grants or refuses.
HarnessReported
harness_reported: one thing the harness reported during a run.
HarnessStop
Why a harness stopped answering the city’s prompt.
InputKinds
What a model accepts as input.
Lane
Which line a signal waits in.
Opening
How a run’s first user message opens.
PartChange
Whether one region of a request differs from the request before it. A closed pair rather than a bare bool, so a reader meets the word that says which way it went.
ProviderDegraded
provider_degraded has two writers with two shapes.
PursuitMove
Which step a pursuit_changed line records.
RemoteClosing
Who closed the remote door.
RoadmapStep
The step a roadmap_* line records, spelled by its verb key.
ShapeChanged
What moved between one request’s cache shape and the previous one.
SignalKind
What kind of communication a signal is. Steer is a fourth kind rather than a flag beside the other three: it is the only one that overtakes, and urgency has to belong to the signal for one id to always take one lane.
SkipReason
Why a document did not reach its segment. Closed: an assembler that finds a fifth reason states it here, where every reader sees it.
ToolAnswer
A call answers exactly one way, and the enum is what says so: two independent optional keys would let a line hold both or neither, and every reader would have to invent a verdict for the two shapes that cannot happen.
Verdict
Take the sentence’s change, or take an inserted sentence after rewriting it.
