A filter that narrows a scan’s splits as they open, such as a bound that tightens while the rows already read are consumed. Each split reads with the filter as it stands when the split opens and may skip every row the filter then rejects, so it must reject only rows the reader does not need.

The filter as it stands now, or None while it rejects nothing.
