Answering takes both agents, and both have to say answer: the check agreeing while also calling it the viewer’s is a model contradicting itself, and that resolves toward the viewer. Leaving it takes one. Every disagreement therefore ends in silence rather than in words posted under somebody’s name that one of the two would not stand behind.
