§TUI State and Rendering

TuiState holds everything the screen shows: the scrollback, the input line, the history and the command that runs now. It does no terminal I/O, so tests drive it with key events and render it on a TestBackend.

ChoiceState
The open question from a running command: a list to choose from.
HistorySearchState
The open history search.
Menu
The open completion menu.
Running
A command that runs in the output pane now.
SearchState
The open scrollback search.
TuiState
The complete TUI state.

Action
What the event loop must do after a key.
Ending
How a command ended, in the pane or outside the TUI.
Overlay
A floating list over the screen.

Constants§

BUSY_NOTE
Said when Ctrl-D or exit is pressed while a command runs.
MIN_H
See MIN_W.
MIN_W
The smallest terminal the TUI draws in, in columns and rows.
PASTE_LIMIT
The most characters one paste adds to the input line.
SCROLLBACK_LIMIT
The most lines kept in the scrollback. Older lines are dropped.

Functions§

run_invocation
Runs a parsed command with the given output. --ai switches this one command to markdown, as on the command line.
