Functions§
- apply_
override_ answer - Carries out
answerforstale: moves the copies to a backup folder underhome(named bystamp), removes them, or records the “no” indeclined_file. Returns what it did, for the user. - ensure_
catalog - Before a command that needs venues: when no catalog is installed, fetch it once (first use), saying so. Offline, it says how to get venues later and leaves the example file; the command then runs with what there is.
- offer_
catalog_ updates - Before a command that reads venues: when the user’s copies hide a newer
catalog venue, ask (once a process) whether to save and replace them,
replace them, or keep them. In the TUI the question is a list; on a
terminal, the
[Y]es/[N]o/[O]verwriteprompt; scripted runs never ask. - parse_
override_ answer y,noro(any case, a word starting with one); anything else, an empty line included, keeps the copies.- run
- Run the venues command.
- stale_
copies - The user’s copies in
registrythat hide catalog capabilities, minus those already declined for the same catalog version (declined).
