Module embed_cli 

Thin CLI shell: cmd_embed renders embeddings.build; the scorer, reranker, policy, and constructor live in scc_engine::inference (single implementation — DoD 5: no transport reimplements ranking).

CliReranker

Back-compat re-exports: keep external scc_cli::embed_cli:: paths compiling during migration (single implementation in the engine). Second-stage reranker calling the configured /rerank model on the top candidates. Any failure is a no-op (graceful degradation).

EmbeddingScorer

Back-compat re-exports: keep external scc_cli::embed_cli:: paths compiling during migration (single implementation in the engine). Fuses stored entity embeddings with the embedded goal. Vectors are preloaded once per pack generation.

Functions

cmd_embed

scc embed — terminal rendering over the embeddings.build operation.

rankers

Back-compat re-exports: keep external scc_cli::embed_cli:: paths compiling during migration (single implementation in the engine). Build the scorer/reranker when inference is enabled; any provider failure degrades to (None, None) so the lexical ranker is always the fallback.

remote_inference_allowed

Back-compat re-exports: keep external scc_cli::embed_cli:: paths compiling during migration (single implementation in the engine). Remote-model policy (P0, docs/SECURITY.md): repository-derived content may leave the machine only when inference.enabled AND security.allow_remote_models are both true. Loopback providers need only inference.enabled. Fails closed.
