Macro remove_matches 

macro_rules! remove_matches {
    ( $string:expr; $( $pat:expr ),* ) => { ... };
}

Replaces multiple str at once, avoiding intermediate allocations. It returns a new String containing the result. Values passed by value keep ownership.
