pub const GRANULE: u64 = 8;Expand description
How many bytes one granule covers.
Eight, because that is where the curve in document 05.2.5 bottoms out on both of the inputs
measured, and because it is the size of a pointer, which is the thing whose type the plane
most wants to be right about. It is a default and not a law, which is why measure takes
the size rather than reading it: the granule size is the one dial the design has, and what
it buys is the thing worth reporting.
