hmac: HMAC-SHA256 over Sha256, so that its message can be hashed together with another (see HmacSha256::update_paired).

ratchet: Destination ratchet history. No clock, filesystem, or global state is required.
sha256: SHA-256 over a block state of its own, so that two independent messages can be compressed together (see update_pair); blocks go through the sha2 compression function otherwise.

FixedRng: Deterministic RNG for testing.
OsRng: OS-backed RNG: the kernel’s generator through getrandom(3) on Linux (served without a system call where the C library and kernel support it), /dev/urandom elsewhere, the hardware RNG on ESP-IDF.

Rng: Trait for random number generation. Callers provide an implementation; in std builds this wraps OS randomness.
