Module align 

Alignments: \halign and \valign (TeX: The Program §768–§812).

The preamble is kept as vectors of templates and tabskip glue instead of TeX’s node list; the algorithm is otherwise TeX’s. Spanned cells are followed by tabskip glue and empty boxes, as in TeX82 (and LuaTeX).
