Module depend 

rk depend assess | add: another project as a dependency of a target.

assess reads the source and the target offline and reports every way the dependency can land, exiting 0 on every verdict; add serves one way — the fragments for a manager, or the technology’s own command for a prod dependency — and under --apply seeds a manager file only where the target has none, never editing a file the target owns. Every report goes through the output boundary with a versioned schema.
