Single-owner local SQL. Native formats and publication barriers remain canonical.

service

Private local workspace service for managed desktop hosts. Never a user SQL endpoint: the only operations are metadata batches and explicit Vault access.

vault

Local file-owner Vault, using the native RDVX envelope and auth KV payload. The sealed image is an internal Vault collection, never an ordinary SQL table. Its WAL action joins the caller’s SQL transaction; closing drops pending writes.

One exclusively locked database handle is the transaction/session boundary. Closing drops uncommitted state. Failed I/O fences the controller until reopen.
