Module binary_hash

Module binary_hash

Source
Expand description

Binary hash computation utility for verifying remote compilation correctness.

This module provides deterministic hashing of compiled binaries by focusing on code sections (.text, .rodata) while ignoring non-deterministic metadata like timestamps and paths.

Structs§

BinaryHashResult
Result of computing hashes for a binary file.

Enums§

CanaryVerdict
The verdict of a self-test canary build, distinguishing a healthy worker whose toolchain merely differs from the orchestrator’s (an advisory PASS) from a genuine miscompile or corruption (a FAIL).

Functions§

binaries_equivalent
Compare two binaries for functional equivalence.
binary_contains_marker
Check if a binary contains a specific marker string.
classify_canary
Classify a self-test canary outcome (bd-784xt). Pure and total, so the verdict logic is unit-tested without a live daemon.
classify_returned_canary
Classify a returned artifact only after reading its nonempty identity marker. I/O failure is an unavailable verification result, never marker presence.
compute_binary_hash
Compute comprehensive hash information for a binary file.
