The hostname label a registration names for the project whose primary checkout is primary.

namespace_for_dir

namespace_has_running_daemon

Whether the state file records a running daemon in namespace. A namespace with live daemons must keep its registration, or a new project registered under the name would find the old project’s running daemons.

normalize

Canonicalize existing paths and normalize missing paths for unregistering.

path_is_gone

Whether the filesystem positively reports path as nonexistent. An I/O error (permissions, a flaky mount) is not “gone”: callers delete on this.
