The script printing everything parse reads, one @name line before each part. Each command’s errors are dropped and the script always succeeds, so a target without nvidia-smi or /proc still answers the rest. nvidia-smi and df, which can hang on a stuck driver or network mount, get 5 seconds each where timeout exists, so a stuck probe never piles up on the target. df -T (the file system type) falls back to plain df where it is not supported (macOS), but not after a timeout (exit code 124): the whole script ends within 15 seconds. run_dir is the run directory on the target, whose file system comes first.
