Enum nondestructive::yaml::Any

source ·
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum Any<'a> { Scalar(Value<'a>), Mapping(Mapping<'a>), Sequence(Sequence<'a>), }
Expand description

An enum which helps to externally discriminate the interior type of a Value.

See Value::into_any.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Scalar(Value<'a>)

The type is a scalar type.

§

Mapping(Mapping<'a>)

The type is a Mapping.

§

Sequence(Sequence<'a>)

The type is a Sequence.

Implementations§

source§

impl Any<'_>

source

pub fn id(&self) -> Id

Coerce into Any to help discriminate the value type.

§Examples
use anyhow::Context;
use nondestructive::yaml;

let doc = yaml::from_slice(
    r#"
    - 10
    - 20
    "#
)?;

let id = doc.as_ref().into_any().id();

assert_eq!(
    doc.value(id).to_string(),
    "- 10\n    - 20"
);
