Struct nmstate::DnsState

source ·
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct DnsState { pub running: Option<DnsClientState>, pub config: Option<DnsClientState>, }
Expand description

DNS resolver state. Example partial yaml output of [NetworkState] with static DNS config:

---
dns-resolver:
  running:
     server:
     - 2001:db8:1::250
     - 192.0.2.250
     search:
     - example.org
     - example.net
  config:
     search:
     - example.org
     - example.net
     server:
     - 2001:db8:1::250
     - 192.0.2.250
     options:
     - trust-ad
     - rotate

To purge all static DNS configuration:

---
dns-resolver:
  config: {}

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§running: Option<DnsClientState>

The running effective state. The DNS server might be from DHCP(IPv6 autoconf) or manual setup. Ignored when applying state.

§config: Option<DnsClientState>

The static saved DNS resolver config. When applying, if this not mentioned(None), current static DNS config will be preserved as it was. If defined(Some), will override current static DNS config.
