pub fn try_service_commit<F: RepositoryFacts>(
invocation: &CommitInvocation<'_>,
checks: &mut ShippedChecks<F>,
request: &StageRequest,
) -> Result<Option<ServiceCommit>, TransactionStop>Expand description
What:
Lands the commit through the service when the platform can reach one, for every command line.
Why:
Returns None only when no service can be reached on this machine, before anything was changed, so the earlier
landing runs as it did; every other ending is the commit’s.
In TS you’d write (pseudocode):
await tryServiceCommit(invocation, checks, request)
