Module parallel

Module parallel

Expand description

Dividing work so that the answer does not depend on how many threads ran it.

This crate owns the vocabulary and, behind the off-by-default rayon feature, the executor. It does not parallelise its own operations: nothing here runs a kernel, and nothing above the type layer decides a worker count. That decision belongs to the caller (NFR-113).

Structs§

BlockPlan
A division of 0..count into fixed-size blocks.
WorkerPanicked
A worker thread ended without returning its blocks.

Enums§

BlockExecutionError
A bounded block execution stopped before completing its output.
ReductionPolicy
Whether a parallel reduction must combine partials in block order.

Constants§

DEFAULT_BLOCK_ITEMS
Items per block when a caller expresses no preference.

Functions§

map_blocks_in
Runs a block plan on the pool and worker budget owned by an execution graph.
try_for_each_block_in
Computes bounded windows and consumes results in canonical block order.
