Different ways to change the boundaries of a visual selection.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

Extend

Extend (or possibly shrink) the selection by moving the cursor.

When extending with EditTarget::Range, this may also move the anchor to fully encompass the RangeType.

Object

Interpret the EditTarget as the bounds of a text object, and select it.

Restart

Move the anchor to the current cursor position and create a new selection from there.
